Shark's suggestion is brilliant, but when tried to save the workbook as an earlier version of Excel, I found the only version that I have is the Excel 97 Version. If there is only one format, apply the style to the cell itself (instead of applying one format to the entire string). But when we are using Office 2003 and downloading the same excel file via our application ,I am not able to see the formatting.
