I'd find that highly unlikely. You can easily use iTunes to do it too, not just Compressor. Again, these files will import into iMovie and they will open in QT. I'm working with Final Cut Pro (4 I think) and I'm trying to import a .mov file. Turns out the extension did not have a "." between it and the file name. same out-of-the-blue-never-had-this-problem-before-in-12-yrs-using-FCP SOLVED by matching imported clips FRAME RATE with the Projects SETTINGS. It's possible that the file was exported from a different version of FCP / different OS. You can only upload videos smaller than 600MB.
